Wide&Falk was founded by Maria and Sigurd Widenfalk, a Swedish creative duo with backgrounds in fashion design and advertising. Originally from Sweden and Norway, their Scandinavian heritage is central to their design philosophy—defined by simplicity, functionality, and understated elegance.
Maria and Sigurd met in New York, where they worked across fashion and advertising, developing a shared visual language rooted in storytelling, proportion, and detail. As their family grew, they relocated to Los Angeles, drawn to the light, openness, and indoor–outdoor lifestyle of the West Coast.
An interest in interiors has always been a defining part of their lives. In every home they’ve lived in, Maria and Sigurd have thoughtfully shaped spaces to feel personal, warm, and intentional. In recent years, this passion has evolved into a love for renovating and restoring—bringing new life to houses and furniture and transforming them into unique, character-filled environments.
Vintage furniture and curated decor are always part of their approach. By layering in vintage pieces, they add depth, character, and a sense of history—creating spaces that feel collected over time rather than styled all at once.
Their work blends Scandinavian restraint with a warm modern California aesthetic. Clean lines, mid-century influences, natural materials, earthy tones, and subtle bohemian textures come together to create interiors that feel elevated yet relaxed—minimal but soulful, refined yet deeply livable.
At the heart of Wide&Falk is a desire to inspire future homeowners—to help them envision not just what a home is, but what it could be. Through thoughtful design and carefully crafted spaces, Maria and Sigurd aim to show how homes can feel calm, functional, and beautiful, while supporting real life and lasting appeal.
Today, they live in Echo Park with their two children, continuing to draw inspiration from everyday family life and the belief that a well-designed home should feel both timeless and deeply personal.
